I wouldn't normally consider using a compact binocular like an 8x25 when I'm out in the field birdwatching - preferring an 8x40 - although more bulky, I have always preferred the better light and resolution. But with the new Idonea series from Visionary - my opinion has totally changed - these binoculars blew me away - they are ultra bright and -pin sharp - and so compact - they fitted in my pocket - perfect if you already have to carry a lot of gear.
