10.06.07 | Digiscoping at Wolseley Bridge
Spent some time in the hot sun testing the Ricoh GX100 digital camera at Wolseley Bridge, Staffordshire.
The weekend brought some very hot weather and fine skies. The lighting was excellent.
I am currently testing a Ricoh GX100 digital camera with my digiscoping set-up, so I decided to visit the pool at Wolseley Bridge. As I'm still getting used to the cameras settings, I thought the location would offer some easy opportunities to try out the Ricoh.
I found a group of Mallards and used them as my test subjects. Some of the results from the GX100 were fantastic, really sharp, I think it's going to be a real winner. It's got all the right features for digiscoping plus a range of very useful accessories.
Check back soon for a full write up on digiscoping with the Ricoh GX100.
Sunday morning was spent with my friends Anthony and Claire, visiting Bateswood just outside Newcastle-Under-Lyme. No pictures but good sightings of Skylark, Lapwing, Garden Warbler and juvenile Jay. We also spotted a fox in a nearby field feasting on the carcass of a dead sheep.
